After the Hotties ran the track up to top 5 on U.S. iTunes charts, the “Plan B” video is finally here. Megan thee Stallion released the single on April 22nd after premiering and performing it live at Coachella a few days before.
The bars and boom-bap beat left fans drawing similarities to 90s hip hop icons, Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. Rightfully so, as lines in the chorus lend themselves to 1995 Junior M.A.F.I.A hit, “Get Money”. Directed by Casey Cadwallader and John Miserendino, the video makes Megan the center of attention. Her curves, visage, and most importantly her words. The video opens with a close up of her mouth reciting the first bar, leaving the audience no option but to focus on the lyrics.
An Anthem for Empowered Hot Girl
Known for her breath control and engaging presence on stage, Megan displays another great performance with “Plan B”. Prior to the video release, The Houston hottie teased the visual via Instagram Reels, releasing a clip dressed in two Mugler looks, playing with camera angles. Megan tagged the fashion house in her caption and the collaboration came full circle as she referenced the brand in the song. “Mugler suit in my meeting, Wagyu steak when I’m eating/ Making so much money, this n**** dumb if he’s cheating”.
I never put my faith in a n****, b****, I’ma die independent. If you was wondering, yeah, boy, I’m still that b****/ I had to block you, but you still gotta watch this s***

The pairing fits beyond one bar. To complement a song about standing independent regardless of a man, Mugler is what the girls put on when they want to feel powerful and sexy. Megan’s lyrics garner a gut response from women when hearing “Plan B”, possibly soundtracking an empowered girl summer. She wrote on Twitter:
The video gives us a physical reaction too, Ms. Stallion. Against a black backdrop with hair slicked back as called for in her lyrics and Mugler’s signature silhouettes, the hot girl is indeed hot.
