The Toys R Us era in America is coming to a near end.
Famous American toy retailer Toys “R” Us plans to close 182 stores across the United States. This comes after the company filed for bankruptcy in early September 2017, and is an attempt to recover from its $5 billion USD debt.
The 182 stores that will be closed represents 20% of its U.S. store fleet. The retailer plans to keep its 1,600 stores and online shop well-stocked despite filing for bankruptcy protection.
The conglomerate plans to merge its in-store experience with that of Babies “R” Us and reduce the company’s inventory overall.
