This past weekend, the trick-or-treating season was back, and as always, the costumes were bigger and better, and the parties followed suit. There were multiple Halloween parties hosted across Hollywood and other places. Ivy Getty hosted a sinful bash at Chapel Bar. Michael Braun and Vas Morgan also hosted a much-anticipated Halloween concept. Heidi Klum hosted her 21st annual Halloween party, and it did not disappoint. After being absent for two years due to the pandemic, the notable Halloween bash drew the attention of street photographers and onlookers. The spooky affair had a bathtub filled with “blood” and naked models as you entered. Heidi was dressed as a giant earthworm alongside her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as a fisherman and had Heidi hooked to his rod.
This year’s Halloween costumes were a little bit more creative, and we can safely say we have some strong contenders on the list.
ICONIC COSTUMES
LORI HARVEY AS BEYONCE
Lori Harvey broke the internet over the weekend with her three Beyoncé-inspired Halloween costumes that paid homage to Queen Bey’s early music videos. Lori’s first look captured Bey’s 2003 solo album, Dangerously in Love. The first costume is from the music video for the single “Me, Myself, and I.” Lori donned a honey blonde wig with blunt bangs as she posed in an off-the-shoulder bodycon dress, finishing the look with an oh-so-’00s nude lip. She also filmed the scene from the video, crawling around a black room with a pink sofa and gold lamp in a perfect recreation. Did we mention that she looks just like Beyonce too? “All the ladies, if you feel me, help me sing it outttt. Me, Myself and I: Part 1,” she captioned the post.
ME, MYSELF & I PART 2
Harvey continued to recreate a second costume for the Me, Myself, and I Part 2 video. Here she filmed the video’s parking garage scene in a clip showing her walking backward, just like in the original reversed clip. Her second costume was an identical lime green and white color block gown as in the video, with a plunging neckline, tie-front detail, thigh-high slit, hip cutouts, and a diamond-encrusted belt.
CHECK ON IT
Her second costume captured Beyonce’s 2005 single “Check On It” from her album Speak My Mind.
LET’S GO, LITTLE KITTY CAT
Lori made 2022 the year she took her crown as one of the queens of Halloween. Her Beyoncé-inspired costumes have her trending across social media.
CIARA & DAUGHTER SIENNA AS SERENA & VENUS WILLIAMS
Ciara and her daughter posed as “the best to ever do it” this Halloween. Over the weekend, the mother of three shared a photo of herself with daughter Sienna as the two transformed into Serena and Venus Williams from an old Got Milk ad—complete with milk mustaches.
KERRY WASHINGTON AS LIONEL RICHIE
Kerry Washington understands that everybody loves a good classic. So she posed as Lionel Richie in his “All Night Long” dance classic.
JENNIFER HUDSON AS WHOOPI GOLDBERG
For The Jennifer Hudson Show’s inaugural Halloween episode, Jennifer Hudson dressed as Whoopi Goldberg’s character, Sister Mary Clarence, from Sister Act.
DIDDY AS THE JOKER (HEATH LEDGER’S VERSION)
“It’s not about the money. It’s about sending the message!! EVERYTHING BURNS!!!” Diddy wrote on his Instagram account alongside a pic of his Joker costume on Oct. 29.
LIZZO
HAILEY BIEBER
Model Hailey Bieber said her costume for the Oct. 29 Vas Morgan Halloween party in West Hollywood was an homage to a 1999 YSL runway look. This is a major 90s fashion throwback, and we love Hailey for that!
