After more than 20 years since the original Space Jam movie starring basketball legend, Michael Jordan, we’re finally getting a sequel- starring LEBRON JAMES!
The sequel has been in the works for years, but James officially confirmed on Instagram that he will play the lead role in the film.
James’ very own production company SpringHill Entertainment are behind the project, with Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler on board as producer and Terence Nance directing.
The rumored release date is 2021 with filming slated for the 2019 NBA off-season. You can expect an array of NBA cameos in the sequel, with names such as Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons already being suggested.
The first Space Jam movie in 1996 is still the highest grossing basketball film ever released. Who else but LeBron would do the sequel??
