Let’s put some respect on Dawn Staley’s name! The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball head coach is known as one of the most dynamic coaches in the game. She’s praised for her ferocity as a competitor and as one of the NCAA’s flyest coaches. Staley often sports designer threads from Louis Vuitton and Gucci to Balenciaga and R13. As they say today, she puts that s–t on.
During the 2023–2024 season, Staley led her team to another championship victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes on April 7, 2024, securing a third championship title. This achievement helped her become the first Black woman to win three national championships. With the world watching Staley pull off another win, she also entered her most fashionable era yet.
Per usual, Staley steps onto the court every game, ready to dominate, and she always ensures that her fit is on point. She used the NCAA tournament as her stage to showcase her drippiest looks yet. Coming back this season on a “Revenge Tour” after losing in the 2023 semifinals, Staley was on a mission. In all 32 games this season, Staley didn’t suffer a loss on or off the court. 1. She was fly in Louis Vuitton.
On April 5, 2024, Staley donned a Louis Vuitton jacket in the first half of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four semifinal game against the NC State Wolfpack in Ohio. This was one of Staley’s many Louis Vuitton looks this season, cementing her as the “Louis Vuitton Dawn.”
2. Dawn Staley wears Gucci.
Staley stepped onto the court in another one of her favorite brands, Gucci. She sported a black Gucci jacket to a game against the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Miss, on Feb. 19, 2023. We live for a jacket moment!
3. She “Dawned” Louis Vuitton yet again.
The South Carolina coach dripped out yet again in Louis Vuitton, this time wearing a comfy blue zip-up jacket worth over $3,000. She wore the look at the Sweet 16 matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers on March 29, 2024, in Albany, NY. In several shades of blue, the patterned jacket was the perfect look for another victorious win.
4. She was pretty in pink.
Staley was pretty in pink for the Gamecocks match against the Ole Miss Rebels in Columbia, S.C., on Feb. 4, 2024. She wore a pink R13 fit consisting of a distressed cardigan and pants. She accessorized the look with a breast cancer shirt and ribbon.
5. She looked bomb in Balenciaga.
In South Carolina’s game against the Louisville Cardinals on April 1, 2024, Staley flexed in head-to-toe Balenciaga. The head coach stepped onto the court in Minneapolis sporting a white and navy Balenciaga shirt with matching jeans featuring the brand’s namesake on the legs.
6. She wears Gucci and she wears it well.
Staley meant business when she wore an all-black Gucci look to their game against the Oregon State Beavers in the Elite 8 round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 31, 2024, in Albany, NY. She paired the jacket with leather pants and matching black shoes.
7. She stepped out again in R13.
Styling and profiling! Staley was dripped out once again in this R13 Sweater for the team’s game against the UConn Huskies on Feb. 11, 2024, in Columbia, S.C. As expected, Staley looked as fly as can be.
