Hollywood Actor and Producer Idris Elba has shared the first trailer for his directorial debut Yardie.
Based on Victor Headley’s novel by the same name, Yardie tells the story of a Jamaican man named “D” who, at a young age, watches the murder of his brother. He flees to London where he encounters the man who shot his brother 10 years earlier and embarks on a bloody, explosive quest for retribution.
The film stars Aml Ameen as D, Everaldo Creary, Stephen Graham, and Jamaican actors Sheldon Sheperd and Shantol Jackson.

The film, which premiered at Sundance last month, is a StudioCanal, Green Door Pictures, Sprout Pictures and BBC Films production. Watch the trailer below:
