Frank Ocean could be taking his talents to the film industry. The singer is reportedly in talks with acclaimed indie studio, A24 to make his directorial debut. Ocean is negotiating with 2AM, a new production company created by A24 about working on the unnamed project.
Though writing and directing will be a first for the singer, Ocean has a standing relationship with A24. He has licensed his songs to various A24 movies including 2019’s Waves which featured his songs “Godspeed” and “Seigfried.” He also wrote the foreword to the screenplay book version of the Academy Award-winning film Moonlight.
At this time no further details about the plot, cast, or release date for Ocean’s potential film have been confirmed.
