There’s a new name on the tip of everyone’s tongue this year and it was 21 Savage, also known as Shayaa Joseph. The Atlanta based rapper has erupted on the Hip Hop scene heavily this year. Earlier this summer, he was inducted into XXL’s 2016 Freshmen Class and that was just the beginning. The Atlanta base rapper has since then dropped a highly anticipated collaborative album with Metro Boomin’ entitled Savage Mode.
With all that recognition in the music realm, he has now started to branch out into the fashion world. Savage is now lending his face to another Atlanta power player and Kanye West’s best friend, Virgil Abloh. Savage is modeling Off-White’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection named “Don’t Cut Me Off,” which was inspired by Italian artist Lucio Fontana. The line uses Fontana’s cutting technique, which allows him to cut into his canvases in an interesting way. Abloh picked up this technique and in true Virgil fashion made it his own. If you didn’t know, Abloh’s street wear brand is pretty popular nd the collab with 21 Savage is bound to make the brand even more popular among fans of both the designer and rapper. The line consists of popular street wear items such as bomber jackets, hoodies/sweatshirts, and collegiate jackets. I must admit that 21 Savage looks great in all the pieces he is modeling. Looks like a great collaboration for Savage and Abloh.
