The baddest chick in the game may have officially ended her days as a single woman! According to several reports, Trina secretly got married in May 2024. Not only was the marriage a surprise to many fans, but the relationship was also kept relatively private.
Per Vibe, Trina became engaged and married right under everyone’s nose. It is unclear when the rapstress met her new boo, Benjamin Kearse, Jr. However, she did debut their relationship on Season 5 of “Love and Hip Hop: Miami.” While the couple was featured on the reality TV show, little was revealed about their relationship.
Vibe stated that their sources revealed that Trina secretly got married on May 22, 2024. This follows the couple obtaining their marriage license on April 5, 2024. The couple are said to have jumped the broom in Ft. Lauderdale. Neither Trina nor Kearse have officially made the announcement.
Who is Trina’s new mystery man?
Many fans are ecstatic about Trina’s new relationship status, but they are also wondering exactly who Kearse is. According to HipHopDX, the new husband is a real estate investor and developer. Additionally, Kearse prefers to go by the name “Swurv.”
On “LHHMIA,” Trina revealed that she met her then-boyfriend at a party and refused to leave without getting his number. As mentioned, it’s unknown when the two met. Nevertheless, the femcee was candid about her love for the real estate investor.
“I am just so addicted to him,” she stated on the show. “When it comes to love, he just gets me.”
As for why the couple has remained so private, Trina stated it’s not on purpose. While on the “Reality with the King” podcast, the 45-year-old rapper said she doesn’t care if the relationship is public or not.
“I feel like now, it was more than just a relationship; it wasn’t the whole world. You’re seeing it, but I control my privacy and how I want it to be, as opposed to we’re doing it because this is what people need to see,” she told Carlos King. “I don’t care about that. If you see it, oh well! I’m not hiding,”

Like most people, Trina had to kiss many frogs before she met her prince charming. The rapstress has had several high-profile relationships with musicians and athletes alike. According to The Sun, Trina dated Lil Wayne from 2005 to 2007. After their breakup, she began dating basketball player Kenyon Martin until 2010. In 2013, rumors swirled that French Montana and Trina were dating. However, neither party opened up about their situation until 2019, when allegations surfaced that Montana cheated on Trina with Khloé Kardashian.
Most recognizably, the Miami-born rapper became engaged to Raymond Taylor, aka Ray Almighty, in 2021. Unfortunately, the engagement was short-lived, as she appeared on “Caresha Please” as a single woman in 2023. While on the show, she addressed the breakup with Taylor, stating that she was not in a good place after her mother passed away.
“Everything that happened to me just tore my life a part,” she told Caresha. “I was just totally not in a happy space at all.”
She also stated that she was checked out of everything, including her relationship, as she tried to tackle her grief. However, she has seemingly used the time after her breakup to heal and be her best self for her new man.
