The Lion King, is one of the most anticipated live-action remakes from Disney’s catalog. So the pressure For Disney to get perfect cast was intense and let’s say they did not fall short of perfection.
The film will feature the likes of Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar , and Alfre Woodard as Sarabi. And if you thought the cast couldn’t get any better – Beyoncé, Queen Bey ?, will be casted as Nala. Cue the celebration! With the news of the full list of cast, twitter reacted in the most appropriate way:

“It is a director’s dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life,” Favreau said in a press release.
The film will use the same techniques that Favreau used for his recent version of The Jungle Book. He’ll recreate live-action with digital effects. So the animals will look real, but they’ll talk and the above actors will provide their voices.
The film is set to be released summer of 2019, although that’s is a long way from now. The casting of the live-action film will keep us excited to then.
