After Issa Rae‘s hit show “Insecure” ended after five seasons in December 2021, fans wondered what was next for the multi-hyphenate. In 2022, Issa Rae furthered her creativity and premiered a new show, “Rap Sh!t.” The HBO Max series follows two former friends, Mia (KaMillion) and Shawna (Aida Osman), on their journey to rap stardom.
In September 2022, HBO Max renewed the series for a second season, which later hit the streaming platform in November 2023. Since its premiere, fans have tuned in to enjoy the perfectly curated soundtrack while watching Shawna and Mia follow their dreams.
