Looks of the Week has reached the holidays! Hooray! Ok, we might be a bit premature with the festive celebrations but guess what doesn’t take a holiday? Fashion. ? A lot of cool things happen in fashion/media circles in December and 2017 hasn’t let us down.
This week, we finally saw the unveiling of ‘Rihanna Drive.’ Yes, everyone, it’s a real place! Our entrepreneur of the year (RiRi, obvs) took the trip to Bridgetown in Barbados to launch her own street. How many of you can claim to have a drive named after you? Her hometown is evidently super proud of the star and the team here at MEFeater really is too. Recently, Fenty Beauty, Rihanna’s beauty brand, was named one of Time’s Best Inventions of 2017. This was just one of the artist’s major achievements this year. You’ll be seeing plenty more of Rihanna next year as she co-hosts the Met Gala 2018.
In other news, Aja Naomi King was announced as the new spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris USA. Speaking of the news she inspiringly said: “No words can capture it…but I hope to be one more face looking back at you showing you what IS possible!!!”
