We’ve got the Juicy scoop!!
In 2017, the iconic Los Angeles Black Label brand Juicy Couture announced their new creative director Jamie Mizrahi.
Creative director Mizrahi is a well-known fashion stylist and has dressed many celebrities and household names such as Katy Perry, Olivia Thirlby, and Kate Upton. One of the elements the stylists prides herself on is focusing on the uniqueness and individuality of the person she is dressing. “I think it’s really important to think of the person before you think of yourself,” she told Fashionista.com. “”It’s a collaboration. I’m not dressing Ashley Benson like I’m dressing Riley Keough; I’m not dressing Riley Keough like I’m dressing Suki Waterhouse.”
The stylist is currently revamping the classic Juicy Couture tracksuit. “There has to be a balance of old, nostalgic pieces and new [ideas], but that’s the fun part of being at a brand like this,” she tells Vogue. “When I ask my friends about their first tracksuit, they all remember it was Juicy. There are so many memories [associated with the brand], and I’m still trying to appeal to those women who first fell in love with it back then. I think Juicy was my entire wardrobe—I remember my first waffle-knit tracksuit, my ruched baby doll dresses, my graphic T-shirts . . . Juicy created this fantasy. It was like a fairy tale, and those are the same feelings I have for it today.”
Juicy Couture debuted their first look at their Spring 2018 collection during NYFW in September. Fans can expect to see a variety of fashion including colorful stripes, nostalgic 80’s color block, elegant lace and of course modern mesh.
