Kim Jones, artistic director of Louis Vuitton has stepped down after Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2018 showing in Paris. Since 2011, Jones has been notorious for bringing eclectic elements into his men’s collection designs, as he flawlessly integrate nuances of streetwear. With past ventures with Nike, Umbro, and most recently Supreme— there is endless roads Kim Jones could take. Although there had been speculation that he will be moving to Burberry or Versace— Kim Jones is currently a free agent.
Since his departure with Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones announced on February 14th that he is re-issuing his favorite pieces from his Kim Jones brand. The announcement signifies the 10th anniversary of the last Kim Jones Collection. Jones presented this piece of information on Instagram when he posted a picture of a denim jacket with pink embroidery of “Kim Jones” on the back collar and the phrase “Edge of the Looking Glass” on the back of the jacket.
The reissued clothes are to be manufactured by Japanese company GU. As stated by Jones, the pieces will be “available in select countries for a limited period.”
