South African-born runway models Denetric & Lebo Malope are breaking all boundaries and taking over the international runway! The two siblings made headlines recently during Milan Menswear Fashion Week as they both walked for FENDI SS23. Denetric who is the oldest of the brothers has been quite vocal on his social media platforms about what this international success means to him and his family.
During the early months of 2022, Denetric (who has been an international model since early 2021) properly planned his little brother’s path. He put his profile out and requested that agencies book him. The stars aligned because not long after that, Lebo had booked his first shoot – a concept called Project 6: Study Group with UnifromZA. A South African minimalist clothing brand by Luke Radloff.
The brothers wowed everyone when they both appeared in the same Fendi fashion show during the Milan SS22 Menswear Fashion Week. During this time, Denetric took to social media to express his gratitude to Fendi in backstage images. The duo has been inspiring to watch as they took on International fashion brands, a first for their generation in South Africa.
Some of the other brands the Malope boys have walked for during this Fashion Week season include Kenzo, Craig Green, Paul Smith, JW Anderson, and Mowalola. The Malope duo has showcased a new level of “can do” attitude, inspiring so many aspirants from their country.
