Bleach is Back! Anime fans rejoiced yesterday when the trailer for “The Thousand Year Blood War” arc was announced at Japan’s Jump Festa. The trailer gave next level visuals, drip, and of course top tier music with the newly remixed “Number One” by Hazel Fernandes. The stunning trailer, which aired on the 20th Anniversary of Bleach, showed the return of everyone’s favorite Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki, and the rest of the crew as he gears up to save the world one last time.
The adaptation of the final arc of Bleach has been a long time coming. With much disappointment from the fans, the series prematurely ended in 2012 without animating “The Thousand Year Blood War” arc. Anime fans lost their minds last year when Bleach creator, Tite Kubo, revealed that the anime was coming back. The anime will once again be helmed by Studio Pierrot with all the original voice actors returning to reprise their roles. Bleach returns October 2022.
