Originally hailing from Brooklyn, NY, with roots in New Jersey, Sidnee Michelle Douyon kickstarted her career interning at The Source Magazine, swiftly ascending to an on-camera personality role. Her groundbreaking journey led her to Forbes Magazine, where she shattered barriers as the FIRST BLACK WOMAN/woman of color to report on camera EVER. At Forbes, she spearheaded editorial and content focusing on the achievements of people of color, pioneering inclusivity efforts. Transitioning to Complex Media, Sidnee assumed a lead anchoring position, contributing to the network’s new finance, culture, and business channel, cementing her status as only the second Black on-air anchor for Complex. Driven by her passion for travel and culture, she later served as the Deputy Editor for Travel Noire, the world’s largest Black travel outlet. Now residing in Los Angeles, Sidnee recently embraced her role as the Senior Digital Editor for Black Enterprise while continuing her love for entertainment as a celebrity journalist. Her extensive portfolio includes interviews with today’s leading figures across entertainment, sports, and politics, underscoring her influence and reach. Committed to mentorship and advocacy, Sidnee was recognized as one of the youngest mentors for Howard University’s Entertainment Group, backed by Amazon Studios.
