Last week Riccardo Tisci unexpectedly left Givenchy. This left the fashion world speechless. Now, the hunt is on for a new creative director. After a 12 year career at Givenchy, Tisci has left very large shoes to fill. It seems like the label is considering OFF-WHITE designer Virgil Abloh. Because Abloh has made a name for himself in the semi-street label, this may be a surprising pick. Also, Abloh is the mind behind the album art of Yeezus. While it is unique choice, he has expressed some desire to move on to a luxury brand.
No official decisions have been made yet. Based of Abloh’s work I would like to see him at the helm of Givenchy. What do you think of Abloh and his possible move to Givenchy? Can he take on the job?
