Five unique labels and five unique styles would be the perfect description of NYFW shows at Industria Studios. The vibes were contagious, with each collection making their own statement on the marble white runway floor. Women from all over the world lined up dressed to impress, to get a sight of the most fashionable pieces of the Spring/Summer ‘19 Collection.
We were one of the few eager to capture a glimpse of all the luxury collections of NYFW and had the pleasure of taking on the front row seats. Want to know what it was like? Well, keep on scrolling.
Indonesian Diversity
Indonesian Diversity was one the most culturally satisfying shows of NYFW at Industria Studios. It consisted of three ready-to-wear luxury Indonesian designs like no other.
Vivi Zubedi
Vivi Zubedi collection set the tone by opening with a traditional Indonesian dance which wasn’t a surprise given the rich heritage of dance within the Indonesian culture. The theme for Vivi Zubedi SS19 workwear collection pulls inspiration from the wonderful city of Marrakech this season. Tying all things together the collection featured a collaboration of quilted floral patterns and delicate summer shades.
Suedenson by Kimberly Tandia
Suedenson showcased a bolder fashion-forward approach to Indonesian fashion culture with the SS19 Nucleus collection. Tandia featured bold pieces with accents of leather, silk, and bold bell sleeves. The exotic headpieces and color scheme (crimson red, soft nude, and charcoal black) tied each piece together giving an edgier vibe.
Coreta Lousie
Coreta Louise’s SS19 collection took you into a very tropical world this NYFW with metallic golds, greens, and deep marrons. Or a “Tropical Haven”, as designer Coreta Louise would call it. Hand-painted silk poured down the runaway offering pieces for a day in the office or a post-work event.
NONIE
Worn by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, back in July, the House of Nonie collection is no rookie to the NYFW scene or the public eye. House of Nonie is known for its various elegant pieces that are appropriate for everyday wear. Designer, Nina Kharey paired satin and mesh effortlessly, with soft shades of off-white, black, and a blood red. It’s no wonder the Duchess would have NONIE pieces in her closet it screams royalty.
