Nike has always been known for the signature slides — comfortable, neutral and reasonably priced starting at just $25.00. However, on August 3rd Nike released its first ever Huarache Gladiator Sandal.
What is that?? You may wonder. . . The gladiator sandal is a cross between Nike’s classic slide and their Huarache sneaker. These sneakers made their first début back in 1991, and were released again in 2011/2012. Nike earned $20.9 billion in revenue, and sales were up by ten percent that year.
This new mixture of the both classic slide and Huarache features a three piece design. This includes the comfortable sole of a Nike slide, ankle strap support, and a rigid sole to massage your feet as you walk. This twist is a part of Nike constant reinventing in the shoe game. Socks and slides have become a trend this summer, and these sandals will fit right into that style.
