On a rare occasion, Mr. Carter hopped on Twitter to celebrate being the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. One of the biggest accomplishments that any artist can achieve.
Opening up his stream of tweets Hov thanked the support of many and went on to name those who inspired him. The usual suspects like the artists who were also apart of his era of rap, including Notorious B.I.G, ‘Pac and Nas. He also mentioned a string of new school inspirations including J Cole, Chance the Rapper, Quavo, Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean. Hov also shouted out his lady, Queen Bey, who jokingly says is also a rapper.
Jay Z ended his night of tweeting, by shouting out “the greatest rapper of all time Obama” who congratulated him in a video message.
