We love a smart businesswoman! Megan Thee Stallion is expanding her resume and adding restaurateur to her list of accomplishments. The head Hot Girl is opening up her own Popeyes location, and the Hotties are ready to place their orders. This location is reportedly set to be the first of five locations for the rapper. It’s rumored that the Boa rapper’s first restaurant will be nestled in Miami—just in time for Hot Girl Summer.
From Hottie Sauce to Storefront
This move follows Megan’s 2021 collaboration with the popular franchise for a limited-edition sweet and spicy dip dubbed Hottie Sauce. Made with honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo peppers, the sauce was a viral hit and will undoubtedly make its return. The success of the sauce inspired Meg to think bigger, and now a brick-and-mortar location seems like the next logical step in the partnership.
“In a Few Months, It’ll Be Chickens”
On Tuesday, April 29, the H-Town Hottie took to Instagram and TikTok to announce her upcoming Popeyes location. Sporting an orange hardhat, she walked through the construction site and joked that while it’s just bones now, “in a few months, it’ll be chickens.”
Empowering Black Women Through Entrepreneurship
“I appreciate Popeyes’ commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening restaurants,” she said in a statement via Billboard. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their lineup.”
The store is set to have speakers everywhere, and Meg suggested that her Popeyes location should serve breakfast biscuits. They are still working on the logistics, but we have no doubt that the Hot Girl will have the littest Popeyes restaurant around.
Fans and celebrities took to the comments expressing their excitement for the upcoming location. Most are hoping that the first building will touch down in Meg’s hometown of Houston.
Chicas Divertidas: Meg’s Tequila Takes Off
With this being her latest entrepreneurial move, the rapper has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. She has continued to expand her brand outside of music over the last few years. She recently released her own brand of tequila—Chicas Divertidas. The premium, citrus-forward tequila is made with 100 percent Blue Weber Agave and is described as having a smooth, high-quality taste. The tequila has been years in the making and was officially released in February to coincide with the rapper’s 30th birthday. Meg offers Blanco and Reposado options, both with 40% ABV, priced at $70 and $80, respectively.
