Actress, Gabrielle Union, recently released her exclusive collection with New York and Company clothing store.
Union was announced as the face of NY&Co’s 7th Avenue collection in March which led to her fashion debut. The collection launched on August 16th, featuring 21 items ranging from tops, skirts, pants and dresses. Union’s collection varies from sizes zero to 20. Pieces in the collection range from $46.95 to $139.95. Union made it a point to make her items affordable.“You do kind of become an asshole if everything you’re talking about is a few mortgage payments and a normal person can’t afford any of it—like, what are you saying, really?” she told Glamour. She also stated, “trying to create a line that’s accessible for a lot of people, to working women, was important to me. I care. I’m listening”. Union wanted the collection to be relatable to her consumers, and to be something that everyone could rock with confidence.
Gabrielle’s collection features fabulous prints, styles and materials such as floral, cold shoulder, kimonos and moto-leather jackets. New York & Company and Union describe the line as “electric and fly!”, stating: “It has to be Instagrammable, a moment, ‘Yassss!’—that vibe.”
