In case you missed it, Chance the Rapper took over “Saturday Night Live”. It was his first time hosting, co-writing and acting in sketches. Here’s an overview of some of his hilarious sketches from that night to get you all caught up.
Chance the Rapper performed a song for his open monologue. He stated that he hopes the song would make him the Mariah Carey of Thanksgiving. The song he performed was about bad apples and it featured turkeys along with members of the cast like Leslie Jones and Cecily Strong.
Chance followed up with his Boyz II Men inspired group called, De-Von-Tre in an R&B skit. The group performed “Come Back, Barack.” The members of the group were Chance, Kenan Thompson, and Chris Redd. They sang, “We want you back somehow.”
Chance the Rapper continued with another musical based skit about rap history. The sketch was about the age gap within hip-hop. The skit had Pete Davidson as a SoundCloud, rapper called Lil Doo Doo. The Chance the Rapper, Chris Redd and Kenan Thompson acted as a late 70s group called Soul Crush Crew.
Chance then switched it up and took on the role of a Steve Harvey lookalike who joins the Thanksgiving edition of Family Feud.
He also played a Gotham City local in “Wayne Thanksgiving” who discussed Batman’s use of excessive force.
Chance went back to school in his skit for “Career Day.” He played a high school student who got a little too excited in class and stripped down to his underwear.
The show took an X-rated turn at some point with the “Porn Pizza Delivery” skit. Chance played a delivery man who says he has an “extra large sausage for you”
Then, he put on his “Sports Announcer” hat where he plays a very cold and unhappy sports announcer who has to cover a hockey game that he has zero interest in.
