Andreja Pejic is the First Transgender Model on a GQ Cover

Australian model Andreja Pejic is perhaps the most recognizable transgender model in the biz right now. She had been known as an androgynous model up until completing her gender reassignment in 2013. Since then Pejic has become a huge advocate for the transgender community and has made a name for herself in the fashion world as a whole.

In 2015 Pejic graced the cover of American Vogue ad and has now become the first transgender model on the cover of GQ. She was also the covergirl for GQ Portugal. A huge milestone for both the transgender community and humanity as a whole. Pejic expressed her reaction with a little humor and a lot a love on Instagram.

I'd say this cover represents me getting my long awaited revenge on all those boys who didn't wanna hold hands in public when I was finding out about love for the first time✌️? However all pettiness aside ? MUITO OBRIGADO? to the good peeps at @GQPortugal for the award and this little moment in history. I only hope we can all increase the sorcery in 2017?xx
