Wale Explores Black Love With ‘Dear White People’ Star Ashley Blaine Featherson In ‘Black Bonnie’ Video

Beside every good man, is a great woman and that’s facts!

Long awaited and highly anticipated smooth poetic rapper Wale, made an epic return in his latest visual “Black Bonnie” and it’s everything we’ve been waiting for.

It’s no shocker that he’d pick a melanin beauty as the apple of his eye in this short love-filled video. Queenin’ right beside him on the throne sits a familiar face we all will never get tired of seeing. The lovely face of Ashley Blaine Featherson, better known as Joelle in Dear White People, a Netflix Original Series.

The pair takes on black love in pure form traveling through lifetimes from Ancient Africa, 1960’s Black Panther Era, all the way to the 90’s as a spin-off of the infamous couple, Bonnie & Clyde. The couple is all things black love standing together as one. You can feel the intense feeling of affection between the two with every clip.

Electing Ashley to take on the leading lady role is no doubt a win-win. Given her role as a strong outspoken black activist in Dear White People, its no surprise she would hold a similar role in a visual based on historic black love and culture. Ashley is the perfect representation of a strong black woman supporting a strong black man. We are here for it!
