Twenty88 is the collaboration of Big Sean and Jhene Aiko. Quite honestly, this could be one of the most underrated albums released in 2016. It’s been overshadowed by the drop of overnight releases such as Beyoncé’s Lemonade album and Drake’s Views album.
Twenty88 is phenomenal. Both Big Sean and Jhene Aiko together bring back the 90’s groove with substantial content. It’s one of the dopest collab albums, I’ve listened to in a while. Then they brought out the big guns, on one of my favorite cuts on the album. They have K-Ci and Jo-Jo laying down the background vocals on “2 Minute Warning”. As for the rest of the album, it’s just Sean and Jhene playing off each other’s vibes and creating great music along the way.
If you haven’t given it a listen, please do. Eight songs and every last one is a hit in my book, but if you must know, my top 3 are “2 Minute Warning” (of course seeing as I just gushed about it), “On the Way”, and “Deja Vu”.
And if you ask me, yes they should be a couple already. Like how cute are they?
