Prepare to swoon! Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have mixed business with pleasure again. The beauty mogul tapped her man to promote her latest Fenty Skin offering, Lux Balm, which promises to keep your lips nice and hydrated.
Rocky showed off the Barbados cherry-powered lip balm in a Jan. 4, 2024, promotional post on Instagram. The promo featured Rocky’s single “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” named after the couple’s second son.
“B—h, this ain’t lip gloss,” Rocky rapped in the short teaser over shots of him wearing the ultra-hydrating cherry lip balm in the “new collab with [his] baby mom.”
“Flossy, glossy, Nah, b—h, this ain’t lip gloss / Lux Balm up in my palm / New collab’ with my baby mom,” Rocky rapped on the catchy Pharrell-produced track.
This isn’t the first time Rihanna has included Rocky in one of her Fenty marketing campaigns. He appeared in the launch of Fenty Skin in 2020.
The Lux Balm joins Rihanna’s long list of lip care items — from her shiny gloss bombs to her vibrant lip stains.
ASAP Rocky is always down to work with Rihanna.
As a supportive partner, Rocky expressed to Complex that he’s always down to collaborate with his lady. He hinted at potentially working with the “bad gal” herself on new music. Surprisingly, the couple only has one song together, “Cockiness (Love It)” remix. Rihanna was also the muse in two of his most popular music videos: “Fashion Killa” and “D.M.B.” When it comes to the pair working together in fashion and music, Rocky and Rihanna never miss.
“I’m always down to collab with my partner, man,” he told the outlet in a January 2024 interview. “She’s a phenomenal creative. Yeah, there’s a lot of things we’re going to collaborate on, from products for children, there’s a lot of things to look forward to.”
During a Puma x F1 Launch in November 2023, Rocky stated that their greatest collaboration will always be their “beautiful angels,” sons RZA and Riot Rose.
“If me and my lady were to collab what could we team up and just f—–g just smash and go crazy on?” Rocky asked. “I think we do a real great job at collaborating and making children. I think that’s our best creation so far.”
According to the rapper, no design or collaboration will ever top their parenting.
“Nothing’s better than that out there,” he told the outlet. “Any design…I mean, we had a third designer come and help, a ghost designer named God, you know, and shaped everything, and we had these beautiful angels. So, that’s the best collaboration.”
Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their first child, a son named RZA, in May 2022. During her highly anticipated Super Bowl performance in 2023, she revealed that the couple were expecting their second child, another son named Riot Rose, who was born in August 2023.
Aside from making history with the shocking baby bump reveal, Fenty Beauty earned a huge surge in sales when the artist iconically touched up her makeup during the show.
