Thursday, Rico Nasty debuted the video for her new single “Money,” which features Flo Milli. She samples the hook from 2 Live Crew’s “We Want Some” while staying true to her vibrant sound. The visuals are bright, fun, and a bit luxurious. The iconic film, The Wizard of Oz, directed by Roxana Baldovin, inspired the video’s aesthetics. Rico Nasty and Flo Milli both looked incredible while delivering those hard bars, as they typically do while strutting along the Yellow Brick Road, demanding money from these older businessmen. Each theme was flawlessly accomplished while accentuating the ladies’ beauty.
The energy on this track is unmatched, and this collaboration is a perfect pairing. Rico Nasty and Flo Milli have unique sounds that we haven’t heard or seen in a long time. They both contributed to the song’s and video’s over-the-top pizzazz. This track features a lively beat and catchy lyrics.
Rico has been working diligently to deliver her fans and viewers visuals that appear to be a lost art form. “Money” certainly doesn’t fall short! Rico is absolutely unique in the female rap category, as proven by this song and her entire musical career. She has truly introduced a different sound into the genre of new rappers by introducing an angsty style that caters to her black alternative audience.
