Megan Thee Stallion is Not Letting Up: Sophomore Album on the Way

As Rolling Stone’s latest cover star, The Houston hottie sat down with Mankaprr Conteh for an interview. They covered everything from her relationship, trauma, and what she holds closest. Her community and the music.

To follow her 2020 debut album, Good News, Megan thee Stallion spoke about releasing her sophomore album hopefully this summer. Out of 25 to 30 songs already recorded, thee hot girl coach and her manager T. Farris are excited about a couple. Those songs include a “dark and intense” track called “Pressurelicious” said to feature hip hop’s toxic king, Future. Other new songs from the upcoming album are titled “Anxiety”, “Gift and Curse” and her Coachella debuted anthem “Plan B”. Megan plans to channel all the emotions from “twerking to crying” on this album. She even detailed her writing process which includes freestyling in the shower, so we can prepare for the bars to get introspective. And that’s what she wants to remind her audience, that she can really rap and although she is hot, she’s the “coldest”.

“A b—h like me, yeah, I know my worth/ F—ing with me is a gift and a curse.”

“Gift and Curse”

Thee Stallion has undoubtedly faced hard times whether that is loss, betrayal, or continuously reliving the Tory Lanez incident said to go to trial in September. However, her resilience should not be taken as unscathed. She is handling her situation and healing on her terms. By limiting her time online and surrounding herself with people that are good for and to her.

“I’m trying every day to get through it and be good. I feel so bad because I don’t feel like anybody’s taking me seriously, but I don’t want them to see me cry.”

As a recent graduate and persistent hard worker Megan is not letting up. In addition to her second album, she is working on her directorial debut, getting more cinematic in her videos and working with Netflix. As well as giving back with her self-funded Pete and Thomas Foundation (servicing women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities.).

Summer is not complete without a hot girl drop. And we are hoping the music helps thee hottie have a good time alongside her listeners. What are you excited to hear from the new album?
