From Serviceman to Influencer: Malik McIntyre Is the New Face of the Estée Lauder x HighSnobiety Campaign

Former U.S. Navy sailor Malik McIntyre is different from your typical veteran. The 26-year-old has garnered a significant following on social media, making him a high-demand influencer. Additionally, he has a clothing brand. And if that isn’t enough, the TikTok influencer is one of the faces of a new skincare line. You can now find Malik McIntyre in the new Estée Lauder x Highsnobiety campaign!

McIntyre serves as an inspiration to many young people as he brings his dreams to fruition. The fashion designer told Business Insider he always dreamed of being a fashion designer. In fact, his recent accomplishments show aspiring designers and content creators that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

McIntyre used the military to fund his dreams.

McIntyre joined the U.S. military shortly after he graduated from high school. Growing up in Chicago, he knew he wanted a way out. The 26-year-old needed cash to design a fashion line, and after military recruiters visited his school, everything fell into place.

“I joined the military with the hopes of being able to fund my passion,” he told Business Insider. “I’m proud to say that I’ve not only been able to manage both of my careers, but I’ve excelled in each one.”

McIntyre launched his self-titled fashion brand in 2021 — formerly Kash Kouture, created in 2016 — and earned over $200,000 in sales. Later, the designer debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2022.

McIntyre accomplished this feat while stationed in Hawaii. Not being able to network in person meant that McIntyre had to create an online presence. Promoting and marketing the fashion line through social media eventually paid off, cementing his status as a notable designer and influencer.

Aside from his fashion accomplishments, the former Navy sailor has created an additional career as a content creator. While promoting his clothing brand, McIntyre became known for his humor, story times, and mental health advocacy. Viewers also watched his style evolve as he continued to set trends. It’s no wonder why he was chosen for this campaign

Estée Lauder x HighSnobiety follows three content creators as they navigate New York Fashion Week. McIntyre appears as a content creator and designer.

According to HighSnobiety, the influencer uses Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum to protect and rebuild his skin barrier. And since McIntyre’s skin glows everywhere he goes, he was an obvious choice to appear in the new Estée Lauder x HighSnobiety campaign.

McIntyre has had to juggle many situations and make sacrifices, but he ultimately made his dreams come true. The multi-hyphenate is proof that any vision can become a reality.
