Rapper Jack Harlow has been a fixture in the music scene since 2015. However, he didn’t gain mainstream success until 2020 with his TikTok hit, “What’s Poppin.” Since then, Harlow has achieved various musical feats. Harlow has charted No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned a Grammy nomination, and even scored a feature from Brandy. With those accomplishments in mind, the 26-year-old didn’t stop there. On Feb. 28, 2024, the rapper announced the launch of his new venture, Jack Harlow’s Gazebo Festival.

The inaugural festival will be held in Harlow’s hometown, Louisville, KY., and is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend 2024, from May 25 to May 26. Ticketholders can experience performances from various artists while enjoying the view of Kentucky’s Waterfront Park and the Ohio River.

SZA is named a co-headliner for the Gazebo Festival.

Jack Harlow announced the upcoming festival in an Instagram post that stated, “I GIVE YOUUU… GAZEBO FEST.” Along with the announcement, performing artists were named. Joining Harlow as a headliner is four-time Grammy-winning singer, SZA. In addition, performing acts include James Blake, Jordan Ward, Omar Apollo, PinkPantheress, and many more.

The festival’s mission is to celebrate “the intersection of music and culture,” per the Courier-Journal. Tickets are on sale now, and music lovers can purchase tickets starting at $255 with options to upgrade. VIP packages are also available.

Jack Harlow is passionate about giving back to his community.

The “First Class” rapper is not shy about his Louisville roots. He takes pride in his hometown and plans to honor the community with the festival. Moreover, Harlow is giving back to his hometown by bringing tourism dollars to the city.

According to Billboard, a portion of the ticket purchases will be donated to organizations and programs in the Louisville area through the Jack Harlow Foundation, which Harlow launched in 2023.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg thanked Harlow for welcoming the Gazebo Festival.

“Jack Harlow is an extraordinary Louisvillian who continues to give back to his hometown,” said Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg in a press release, via Billboard. “This is yet another way Jack is showing up for our city, and I can’t wait to see the excitement this festival creates. I am so grateful for his commitment to making first-class things happen for Louisville and our people.”

In addition to great music, the Gazebo Festival will bring attention to Louisville’s culture. Local restaurants and businesses will be at the event for attendees to experience.

“Festivalgoers will get a taste of this city’s iconic attractions, renowned heritage, and global culinary scene,” Cleo Battle, the president and CEO of Louisville Tourism, told Variety

Shortly after tickets became available, Harlow took to Instagram to share a selfie and a loving message about the festival and his hometown. He reflected on his childhood and growing up in Louisville. Harlow credited his passion for music to some of his experiences and aimed to do the same for those who live there now.
