On Saturday, February 11, some of the biggest names in music attended the Brit Awards at London’s O2 Arena. Many celebrities, actors, and musicians, such as Lizzo, Sam Smith, and Jodie Turner-Smith, walked the event’s red carpet, showcasing their looks. While lots of stars opted for flamboyant creations, some looks were bolder than others. Here is a recap of all the red-carpet looks from the UK’s biggest night in music.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie Turner looked like a goddess at the 2023 Brit Awards. The British actress and model arrived in a metallic lamé Zuhair Murad gown with Chopard jewelry.
Beyonce
Beyonce did not personally attend the Brits; however, her videotaped acceptance speech was a definite fashion moment. Bey wore a 70s-inspired custom look by Balmain. The look comprised a jumpsuit covered in black and white sequins arranged in different checkerboard and stripe patterns. She paired it with a vinyl corset over the torso. To accessorize, Bey wore a pair of black chandelier earrings, diamond studs, geometric pendants, and a pair of ornate, circular black glasses with white detailing.
Leomie Anderson
Perhaps this look would’ve worked perfectly for the after-party, but she worked it and looked unreal. The model opted for a tasseled pink Area two-piece.
Ellie Goulding
Less is more when it comes to fashion, especially on the red carpet. Ellie Goulding stepped out wearing a matte black breastplate paired with matching trousers.
Naomi Ackie
Naomi Ackie opted for a striking yellow gown. So elegant it’s almost sickening.
Adwoa Aboah
Nothing is as strikingly bold as a woman in a suit and red lips. Adwoa knew exactly what the agenda was. The model kept it classic in a suit with a striped shirt, offset with gold earrings and a bold red lip.
Maya Jama
There has never been a better time for Schiaparelli than this era, and their supporters are coming out elegantly at every event. Maya wore a strapless Schiaparelli dress with glittering gold accents.
Lizzo
Lizzo, who also performed at the BRITs, walked the red carpet in a statement-making ruched metallic look with a matching ruffle-like aura designed by Robert Wun.
Camille Razat
Camile looked elegant in black. The Emily in Paris star wore a Robert Wun gown with a waist peplum, a layered pleated skirt, and Chopard jewelry.
Sam Smith
Whatever the inspiration or concept for this look was, it definitely did not land with the public. Sam Smith trended on social media and made headlines in an inflatable latex. Smith opted to wear a dramatic, custom, all-black latex jumpsuit by Indian-born designer and London College of Fashion graduate Harri (full name Harikrishnan Keezhathil Surendran Pillai), paired with a pair of black platform heels, gloves, and pearl earrings.
