New Month, New Music: 8 Music Releases to Get Into This Month

It’s a new month so that means new music is on the way! From the Dreamville Records’ mixtape to Chlöe’s “Treat Me”, we are excited for all of the music that’s coming out! Here are five upcoming music releases that we can’t wait to listen to.

1. D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape– Dreamville and J. Cole

On March 31, Dreamville Records released mixtape D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape in anticipation of Dreamville Festival. The mixtape consists of 15 rump-shakin’, soul-moving songs featuring Dreamville Records artists and guest artists like 2 Chainz and ASAP Ferg. Hype man DJ Drama keeps listeners going with his enthusiastic commentary. Get ready to twerk and bop your head to the Dreamville Records mixtape!

2. “Top Notch”- City Girls featuring Fivio Foreign

Newly released “Top Notch” already has fans quoting the song bar for bar. The drill-inspired hit song features “Big Drip” rapper Fivio Foreign. “Top Notch” will have you feeling like you’re the baddest thing on the block and that no one will ever compare to you. “Top Notch” is available on all platforms, so give it a listen or two!

3. Broken Hearts Club– Syd

Since 2019, fans have been waiting for an album from The Internet lead vocalist, Syd. Syd’s new album, Broken Hearts Club, features singles “Getting Late” (featured in Queen and Slim), “Fast Car”, and “CYBAH”. Artists Lucky Daye, Kehlani, and Smino also appear on the album. Fans can expect to feel transfixed by Syd’s soothing, airy vocals and mesmerizing melodies. Broken Hearts Club releases on April 8th.

4. Blue Water Road– Kehlani

Fans have been raving about Kehlani’s upcoming album, Blue Water Road, over the past few weeks. Singles “little story”, “altar”, and recently “up at night” featuring Justin Bieber, have been keeping fans yearning for more. With this album, you can expect feelings of nostalgia and love to consume you. Blue Water Road will come out on April 29th.

5. “Treat Me” – Chlöe

We can always count on Chlöe to bring us the most heart-pumping jams, so we can expect nothing less from her with “Treat Me”. Based on the snippet Chlöe posted on social media, “Treat Me” is about knowing your worth and not accepting the bare minimum from anyone. Not to mention, the Bubba Sparxx and Juevnille samples make “Treat Me” the ultimate twerk hit. This tune, without a doubt, will be the hottest bad bih anthem of the year. “Treat Me” will be available to stream on April 8th.

6. Trendsetter– Coi Leray

A few days ago, rapper Coi Leray, took to social media to announce the anticipation of her debut album Trendsetter. Fans are excited to hear Leray’s album since the release of her song “Blick Blick” with Nicki Minaj has become a favorite over the past week. In addition to Nicki Minaj, artists like H.E.R., Pooh Shiesty, and Young M.A. will appear on the album. Trendsetter releases on April 8th.

7. “Crazy” – Doechii

If you’re new to Doechii’s music, you’re in for a wild, but thrilling ride. From alternative rap to techno funk, Doechii offers a variety of sounds and feelings in her music. On April 1, the “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” singer and new TDE artist teased fans with a snippet of her upcoming single, “Crazy”. “Crazy” releases on April 8th so get ready to lose your mind and dance your heart out!

8. Full Court Press– Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA, and Girl Talk

If you’re a fan of Wiz Khalifa, Smoke DZA, Girl Talk, or our favorite country cousin Big K.R.I.T., you’ll love their collaborative album Full Court Press. Full Court Press will combine the sounds of all four artists with a twist of 70s soul music. The album will consist of 10 songs and a feature from Curren$y. The album’s lead single, “Put You On”, is out right now so give it a listen for a little taste for what’s to come! Full Court Press will be available to stream on April 8th.
