6 Nail Trends to Try Before Summer is Over!

1. Matching your Toe and Fingernail Colors

This may seem like a simple one, but summer is really the only season that your hands and feet are exposed in public. So coordinating your nails can really complete a look.

2. Ombre

Try using two colors to ombre your nails. This may seem too difficult to do on your own, but all you would need is an old makeup sponge and your two favorite summer polish colors.

3. Coffin Shape

This trendy nail shape calls for long nails, but if yours are short don’t be afraid to get tips added at the salon. Summer is a time to be a little extra. This shape makes your nails more of a statement and can support more designs if that’s your style.

4. Glossy Finish

Matte lips and nails are hot right now, but when it comes to summer a glossy finish is the way to go. Matte is a great look for the cold months, but in summer we shine!

5. Don’t be Afraid of Design

If you’re partial to simplicity – like me—you may be weary of gaudy nail designs, but if you were ever going to try something new it would be for summer! You can try flowers or pineapples or a fun pattern! And you don’t have to go to the salon for it either. You can try a nail stamp or let a girlfriend experiment with her inner nail artiest

6. Jewels

I know that for some bedazzled nails may seem like overkill, but summer is the time to be bold! A little gem on a nail or two can add flare to ay color you’re comfortable with. And they’ll make your nails and personality shine in the summer sun.
