Looking to get your natural hair done? Pressed Roots is the place to get your hair laid! Experience the first luxury silk blowout bar catering to women of color with curly, kinky, or coily hair. The salon is decked out in a pink interior and evens offers clients mimosas or green juice while they are getting pampered. Piersten Gaines is the brains behind Pressed Roots. In an interview with Dallas Innovates, Gaines said, ” I created Pressed Roots for me and the 42 million other women with textured hair in the U.S. who want a brand that prioritizes hair health and experience.” That’s exactly what Pressed Roots does! Calling all plant lovers! It’s time to check out The Plant Project. The Plant Project is the first Black woman-owned plant shop in Dallas, founded by Bree Clarke. Clarke founded The Plant Project as a means to add diversity to the plant community. Soft jazz music fills the rooms of The Plant Project while customers shop. Good Cycle
Good Cycle is a vintage clothing store reselling secondhand pieces founded by Nikayla Golatt-Barrett.
