After Filing Bankruptcy and Laying off 3,000 Employees, Wet Seal is Closing!

Another chain falls victim to the online shopping revolution. After cutbacks, only two years ago, Wet Seal is closing the remaining 171 stores. The California company had to shut down after being unable to make any partnerships or supplemental funding. They tried to revive the brand by laying off over three thousand employees, closing a majority of the stores, and filing bankruptcy, but in the end they couldn’t make it work.
