American Vogue Features a ‘Diverse’ Ensemble for Their March Women’s Issue

With everything going on, we need something empowering to get us through. From executive orders trying to ban refugees, to the ICE checkpoints, America hasn’t been very crazy about diversity lately. With our country being the land of immigrants, diversity should be something that we embrace as one. This is something Vogue has decided to do in their March issue.

The diverse Vogue issue features supermodels Liu Wen, Ashley Graham, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, Adwoa Aboah and newcomer Vittoria Ceretti on the beach in all black, with a natural face, bold brows and hair slicked back.  Liu Wen is the first Asian model to grace to cover of American  Vogue! The title, “Fashion’s Fearless Females” gives a feeling of girl power, especially since women’s rights have been a big concern too. All the photos inspire strength, and pay homage to all kinds of beauty.

Imaan and Adriana wear Awaveawake dresses, Romee wears an Alix dress, Jasmine Tookes wears a Nili Lotan dress, and Jasmine Sanders wears a Reformation dress.

Maya Singer, who wrote the cover story wanted to emphasize on diversity. The democratization of fashion is very important to her. With everything going on in world, media this March cover helps make an important statement.
