DeAndre Harris was brutalized by white supremacist during the Charlottesville riots. Three men beat him with their fist, feet, wood planks, and metal pipes. Harris sustained a broken wrist and head wound that required ten staples.
His accuser is likely claiming self defense and the going on the offensive to implicate that Hairs instigated this beating and therefor should be arrested. Harris’s lawyer assures police that, “jeering of the white supremacists in his city, letting them know they were not welcome there, he did not instigate any physical assault. That was done by the men carrying blunt objects and weapons.”
However, the unnamed, white, accuser and attacker was still endowed with enough clout that a warrant of Harris’s arrest was issued. Even though it is clear this man, claiming to be a victim, does not have evidence or even the truth on his side, it is a shame that he is able to get as far as he has through the legal system.
