Since Usher’s Las Vegas Residency in 2021, the Grammy-winning musician has reminded us not to count him out. The residency highlighted why we all fell in love with the R&B legend. He displayed his timeless hits, suave dance moves, and Southern roots at every show. Once fans caught wind of the show he was putting on, all of the dates sold out expeditiously.

The success of the Las Vegas residency and his impeccable career scored Usher the honor of performing at the NFL Super Bowl halftime show in February 2024. Considered one of the best halftime performances, the 45-year-old belted out some of his greatest hits while showcasing some of the moves he is most famous for.

The Las Vegas residency and Super Bowl halftime show have led fans to rediscover the singer’s discography. As such, fans are debating which Usher songs are the best from his complete discography. Here is the official list of five of Usher’s greatest songs of all time!

On his third studio album, “8701,” Usher presented several ballads. Topping the list, the ballad “U Got It Bad” has been a fan favorite since its release. Seemingly confirming his relationship with TLC singer Chili at the time, the music video displays the song’s lyrics. It describes the feeling of new love and its effect.

2. Confessions Pt. II

In 2004, Usher released his fourth studio album, “Confessions.” Rumored to be a reflection of his life and relationship status, the album delves into the singer’s struggle with infidelity and its consequences. Multiple singles, including “Confessions Pt. II,” “Yeah!,” and “Burn,” led the album.

The song went on to top the Billboard charts, making it Usher’s third consecutive No. 1 hit on the album. In fact, Confessions Pt. II and the subsequent music video have become cultural references that are relatable to fans.

3. Superstar

Although “Superstar” was not released as a single on his album, “Confessions,” this song is considered one of Usher’s greatest hits. “Superstar” presents as a double entendre for his life as a superstar and how he feels about his partner. Instead of focusing on himself as a musician, Usher gives his lover the praises he receives as a celebrity.

In the lyrics, he states, “I’ll be your groupie baby/ ‘Cause you are my superstar,” expressing that he sees his girl the way the rest of the world sees him.

4. Love in This Club (feat. Young Jeezy)

Inspired by the energy and spirit of Las Vegas, “Love in This Club” describes Usher pursuing a love interest while out on the town. He is so attracted to this person that he can’t help himself. The music video features Keri Hilson as his love interest as he searches for her in the club, failing to stay away. The song features fellow Atlanta native Young Jeezy and topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2008.

5. There Goes My Baby

As the second single on his sixth studio album, “Raymond v. Raymond,” “There Goes My Baby” presented a more intimate Usher than we’ve seen before. The lyrics display Usher’s desire for his partner as he admires her for completing simple tasks.

As a certified love ballad singer, “There Goes My Baby” exemplifies what Usher does best. The song displays strong feelings of being in love and the beauty of intimacy. The song earned Usher his fifth No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a stamp of approval from fans worldwide.

Usher has produced amazing music, racy music videos, and live performances during his 30-year career. The 45-year-old has cemented himself as a legend. Therefore, it will be hard for any male singer to top his influence and longevity.
