Urban Outfitters Launches Gosha Rubchinskiy X Mumiy Troll Collection in Select Stores and Online

Gosha Rubchinskiy teams up with Ilya Lagutenko of the iconic Russian indie band Mumiy Troll to release a limited capsule collection through the global lifestyle retailer Urban Outfitters.

Mumiy Troll was founded in 1983 in Vladivostok, Russia’s largest and most important Pacific port, by frontman Ilya Lagutenko. Mumiy Troll went on to become immensely influential and shaped the sonic landscape for future Russian rock groups. Ilya is often credited with bringing 90’s grunge music and skate culture to Vladivostok and popularizing it throughout Russia. Today, he remains on the board of the Russian Surf Federation.

Furthermore, August 2017 marked the 20th anniversary of Mumiy Troll’s cult pop rock album. It is called Morskaya, or directly translated as Nautical. Growing up in the 90’s, Gosha’s formative years were spent listening to their music. The collaboration highlights the mutual respect and understanding for each other’s craft, and Russian heritage.

In addition, it stems from the longtime friendship between Mumiy Troll frontman Ilya Lagutenko and Gosha Rubchinskiy. Channeling the energy and utilizing the artwork that went in to Mumiy Troll’s official debut release, Morskaya, the branded Gosha Rubchinskiy X Mumiy Troll collaboration will feature a range of graphic tees and sweatshirts priced at $40.00 to $99.00 USD.

Also, the collection launches in select Urban Outfitters stores across North America on Friday ,12/15. It will also be online at urbanoutfitters.com on Monday, 12/18.
