A man with a unique personal style like Tyler, the Creator, is a hot commodity in the brand partnership world. The rapper often sports outfits that speak to his quirky personality, earning him high acclaim. One of fashion’s top houses agrees with the hype as Tyler, the Creator and Louis Vuitton collaborated on a new capsule collection.

In 2023, Louis Vuitton tapped  as their new creative director. Since his appointment, Williams has chosen celebrities, including Rihanna, to represent the brand. The brand announced Tyler the Creator as the designer for their upcoming capsule collection in March 2024.

Williams and Tyler have worked together on several occasions. The “Happy” singer has credits across several of Tyler’s projects. Additionally, Tyler is featured on Williams’s single, “Cash In Cash Out.” So, the two designing together for Louis Vuitton was a no-brainer.

“Tyler has been my close friend and collaborator for years, and we’ve always connected on music and design,” Williams told .

Tyler, the Creator has a one-of-a-kind style.

According to GQ, Tyler has always designed exactly what he wants to wear. As a designer for GOLF WANG and GOLF le FLEUR*, the rapper has set himself apart from everyone else with his rare personal style. The preppy golf aesthetic is a prominent feature in his designs for Louis Vuitton.

Following the traveling theme found throughout his “Call Me If You Get Lost” album artwork and performances, Tyler is regularly seen carrying luggage. Undoubtedly, he uses luggage to accessorize his outfits. This aesthetic is displayed in his GOLF le FLEUR* designs and his upcoming collection with Louis Vuitton.

Tyler integrates pastels and bright colors into his design style. There is always a vintage element to his outfits. He often rocks loafers with socks or ’90s-style denim. He isn’t afraid to be unconventionally nerdy, either. Often wearing a sweater vest, cardigan, or even buttoned-up polo shirts. He has managed to make formerly considered outdated fashion look cool.

Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2024 Mens Capsule by Tyler, the Creator will release on March 21, 2023.

Putting his best foot forward, Tyler wanted this collection to feel personalized. The rapper told GQ that he wanted to design clothes that he would happily wear every day. If you look closely at the designs, he drew his own LV logo. Named the “craggy monogram,” the design is imperfect, in nature, fitting Tyler’s brand.

The “Earfquake” rapper reached for neutral colors in the collection. Using muted browns, yellows, and blues, the curated outfits speak to his eclectic yet preppy style. The line features many items along with accessories and luggage pieces. Take a look at the styles from the collection below.

The outfits pictured are easily a fit for Tyler. As mentioned, he designed pieces that he would wear. These styles are familiar to his brand as he has sported styles like this during performances.

Tyler, the Creator seemingly ventured outside his box to design more trendy pieces. As pictured, the outfits are still on brand for Tyler but have a modern element.

These pieces and more will launch on March 21, 2023. Unfortunately, the viral waffle bag will  to the public, as it never moved into production.
