Tiffany Haddish Says She Won’t Stop Wearing Fur Until Black People Stop Getting Shot

Tiffany Haddish has stated that she will continue to wear fur in her own personal protest against police brutality. The comedian took to Instagram in a video on Dec. 30 on how she snagged a fur vest from one of her fans who attended one of her comedy shows. Haddish then made a declaration of her own.

Haddish promised to wear the vest as much as possible and then said “I don’t know if you know this about me, but I’m about to start protesting,” she said. “I’m going to wear fur every day until they stop killing black people. It’s my new protest. So sorry PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), don’t be mad at me be mad at the police.”

PETA responded to Haddish pleading with her to rethink her decision. “We love you, Tiffany, and as an animal rights organization, we advocate and believe in kindness towards all, including animals,” they wrote. “We hope that you choose to protest in a different way that doesn’t harm any humans or animals, but is kind to all.” Haddish has not responded to PETA’s comment.
