Why You Should Know The Fourtress

Bushwick Collective

Here is what you need to know about the amazing women behind The Fourtress.

Four roommates and a dream was all it took for Brooklyn residents Kiara Bass, Tierra Taylor, London Coleman-Williams and Candice Frank to create The Fourtress. The Fourtress is a specially curated space that inspires, empowers and unites women of color to fulfill their purpose and stand in their power.

The roommates all come from diverse backgrounds. Bass is a Las Vegas native, Hampton University alumni, and Fashion Publicists for multiple brands in New York City.  Taylor is a Syracuse University alumni, and upon graduating, became the creative assistant at ESSENCE Magazine and the creative director of the Fourtress. Williams, originally from the Mile High City (Denver, Colorado) is also a Hampton University alum and has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Strategic Marketing and Communications. Last but not least, Frank is currently the Social Media Coordinator for ABC’s hit talk show, “The View.”

These ladies all have diverse and creative backgrounds, not to mention outstanding qualifications and credibility. Together, they have created the charity project, #ProjectQueenV. #ProjectQueenV consists of an effort to collect feminine products for homeless women in Brooklyn. The Project launched on September 13th and will last throughout October, ending on November 1st. The Project collects donations for the purchases of pads, tampons, feminine wipes, deodorant, and soap. The goal is to raise $5,000.00 in feminine care but ultimately, to provide a comfort, hygiene, and health to ALL the women of Brooklyn.

Spread the word on #ProtectTheV. And for more information or questions on how to help donate, contact The Fourtress at thefourtressinfo@gmail.com.
