Teyana Taylor announces 90’s themed nail salon “Junie Bee Nails” in Harlem

Seriously, what can’t Teyana Taylor not do?

It seems like it was forever ago when we were introduced to the curly-haired diva of Harlem on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16. Over the years, we’ve watched Teyana grow into an amazing curator. If she isn’t busting out major workouts that have us all envy her athletic body, she’s being an awesome mom and wife.

Now, Teyana is venturing into the world of cosmetics.

Teyana Taylor first hinted towards opening her own nail salon on Twitter in October of last year.

Now we have more information! The Queen of Harlem took to Instagram to share her vision, updates, and some candids of Junie Bee Nails. Junie Bee Nails (no relation to Junie B. Jones) is named after Teyana and Iman Shumpert’s young daughter, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. Or, Junie as they call her.

Teyana Taylor exclaims that the 90s-themed establishment radiates an aesthetic that is “Dapper Dan style Uni’s, to Door Knockers, Bamboo earrings, baby hairs, Airbrushed nails, 54’11’s and all that other fly shit.”

Teyana Wants The Flyest Nail Techs

Teyana Taylor is not only opening a nail shop in her hometown, she is also giving back by enlisting the help of its residents. Teyana is “granting a dope opportunity to the flyest nail techs, from around the way”, and she won’t discriminate based on race, age, or gender. Teyana wants everyone to win. I personally love it when I walk into a nail salon and see workers of varying races! Thank you, Teyana for giving back to the community.

A post shared by Jimmy Neutch- Shumpert (@teyanataylor) on Teyana Taylor has everyone excited for her salons’ grand opening.

She even sent “Black Twitter” into a frenzy with users vowing to travel miles to get their nails done at the 90s themed salon.

But if you’re not down to travel, don’t fret!

Teyana hinted on Twitter that Junie Bee Nails in Harlem was JUST the beginning. She wants to take over the world. One might be coming to your city soon!

We couldn’t be more excited for Teyana Taylor’s new venture. A black-owned nail salon in Harlem? Announced during black history month? She constantly shows us that we can achieve anything.#ForTheCulture
