Model of the moment Kaia Gerber also joins the 90’s fashion icons for the Versace campaign. Kaia is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford.

“Before them, celebrities were only actors and actresses…and then out of nowhere, they, together with Gianni, made models the new celebrities.” – Donatella

Back in September, Versace had their famed supermodels of the 90’s close the brand’s SS18 show with a stunning catwalk. In a tribute to founder Gianni (Donatella’s brother) Carla Bruni, Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Cindy Crawford all reunited. The models wore gold dresses and appeared like goddesses to the audience strutting to George Micheal’s Freedom! ’90. It was a tribute the fashion world was waiting for. Broadcast next year, a documentary will focus on the events surrounding Gianni’s death and his life’s work.

But now, Donatella and the team have brought the models together again to feature in the label’s campaign for SS18. Featuring in the campaign showcase, the #VFamily is made up of Christy Turlington, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell and Kaia Gerber. The images were shot by the photographer Steven Meisel.
