Chance The Rapper is taking his talents to the big screen, in a horror film based in Chicago.
It was announced about a year ago, from the Oscar-winning production company A24 that they were teaming up with Chance The Rapper to produce a horror film entitled “Slice”. *Cue the celebration! For a bit of context A24 produced, box-office hit “Moonlight”.
“Slice” is centered around the murder of a pizza delivery guy and the mystery of who is behind it. The suspect varies from werewolves to drug dealers. The movie will star Chance the Rapper and directed by Austin Vesely, who has directed numerous of Chance’s music videos. The film will also feature the likes Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Deadpool 2), Joe Keery (Stranger Things), and Paul Scheer (The League).
We should expect the movie sometime next year.
Although the first teaser does not reveal much about the film. It definitely gives off a creepy, gory vibe. Contrary to popular belief this isn’t Chance’s first acting gig (watch here), but we are definitely very excited to see the dynamics of Lil Chano from 79th!
