Tyler, the Creator released his album “Flower Boy” advertised as Scum F*** Flower Boy on July 21, 2017. This album talks about same-sex romance and recasts Odd Future’s story in a new light.

Tyler Gregory Okonma, better known by his stage name Tyler, The Creator, is an American Rapper, record producer, and music video director.
He was born in Ladera Heights, California, and rose to prominence as the leader and co-founder of hip hop group Odd Future. He creates all the artwork for the group, designs their clothing, as well as their music. he has been active in music since 2007.
In 2011 he signed a joint venture deal for himself and his label, Odd Future Records, with RED Distribution and Sony Music Entertainment.
I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of his music. He is the last artist I would check for. In the past, I gave his music a chance; I believe every artist deserves that. When I gave his debut album, Goblin, I was turned off! Not saying it wasn’t a masterpiece in its own right, it just was not in my lane of interest. I perceived it to be dark and depressing.

Flower Boy, his 4th studio album released on July 21, 2017. My primary action was not to download the project, due to my past diagnosis of his music; but there was something in the air. I listened and contrary to my past belief, I actually enjoyed it.
As a music artist myself, I noticed the hard-work, and energy he put into the creation of his album. “Who Dat Boy featuring New York rapper, Asap Rocky, stood out to me. In it, he arrogantly introduced and described himself, as he searched for himself. Let that marinate. His 14th track “Enjoy Right Now, Today” is self-explanatory. Although there are no rhymes laid on the track, the beat itself is soothing. The song’s beat will put the listener in a state of relaxation. You get to create your nirvana, pretty much.
I was impressed! Tyler’s hard work was very apparent while listening to the album. He was able to revert me from my “don’t bother me with Tyler’s music,” to “I’ll listen when I’m done with my chores, school work, and work itself. Tyler gained one more listener today. For his unrestricted creativity, choice of beats, and lyrical confidence in Flower Boy, I score his album a “B”.
