J. Cole is a man of his word. On Wednesday Rapper J. Cole went to super fan Cierra Bosarge’s college graduation at Rowan University. This was years after he attended her high school graduation following a letter she wrote to him back in 2013.
Nearly a decade ago, Bosarge called into a radio station with hopes that J. Cole would wish her a happy birthday. Three months later the diehard fan got a call from the rapper himself inviting her to meet him in person. Bosarge then presented the Dreamville boss with a letter about her life and her struggles.
In 2015, Bosarge told Complex that the letter says it all. “With being adopted, my parents being hooked on drugs, in and out of prison. At the time both parents were in prison so I asked him could he come to my graduation since they can’t.”
Cole promised her that if she got into a 4 year University that he would be at her graduation. Bosarge ultimately got into Rowan University in New Jersey, and true enough Cole kept his promise. Now nearly 10 years later Cole attended her college graduation. J. Cole is class act.
