The gritty crime drama, Power is getting a prequel series that will be heavily influenced by the 1980s.
In a recent Instagram post, Power creator, 50 Cent, teased a Prequel.
Power premiered on Starz 4 years ago and quickly became everyone’s Sunday night binge. The captivating characters, drug money, and violence were key attributes that made the show a favorite among the culture.
One of the major themes around the show was the complex friendship between Tommy, Ghost, and Kanan. When Power originally premiered Kanan was in jail, thanks to Ghost. As the seasons went on, we learn that Kanan, Tommy, and Ghost were the best of friends before their lifestyle drove a wedge between them. It will be satisfying to see how that relationship squandered, and how other relationships thrived.
